Il Batavia Arrack un distillato di melassa e rum proveniente dall'Indonesia (dall'isola di Giava), maturato per quasi 8 anni. prodotto con melassa di canna da zucchero a cui viene aggiunto, durante la macerazione, riso rosso coltivato localmente. Il sud-est asiatico viene imbottigliato ad Amsterdam, senza aggiunta di coloranti.
Il miscelatore e imbottigliatore "By the Dutch", un'azienda fondata ad Amsterdam nel settembre 2015 e specializzata nella produzione di rum, gin, Genever e amari.
Note di degustazione
- Aroma: forti note estere, con frutti autunnali, toni affumicati e sfumature erbacee.
- Gusto: cremoso e setoso, con un colorito asciutto, fumo, polpa di cocco, cioccolato, anice e spezie.
- Finale: inizio lungo, fresco
