Lanteprima dello Yellow Spot (Single Pot Still) ha avuto luogo il 23 maggio 2012 a Londra. Lo Yellow Spot stato fatto maturare per almeno 12 anni in tre diversi tipi di botti: bourbon barrels, sherry butts e Malaga Cask. Con lo Yellow Spot, Irish Distillers continua a seguire lantica tradizione di Mitchell & Son, che giin precedenza, nel primo trentennio del XX secolo, aveva immesso sul mercato il Green Spot, il Yellow Spot, il Blue Spot e il Red Spot.
Note di degustazione
- Aroma: pepe, chiodi di garofano oltre a aromi di pesca, miele e noci.
- Gusto: il carattere tipico dellalambicco single pot still colpisce fin dal primo sorso. Il piccante si alterna a note dolci-fruttate di miele e a sapori sottili di caffe cioccolato.
- Finale: un finale molto lungo e distinto, che inizialmente sembra indugiare allinfinito sul palato.
